- NUDE is Networked User Dungeon Environment, and is a bit like a MUD.
Or rather, NUDE is like a whole bunch of MUDs connected to each other, with a basic common ruleset and a common user object across all MUDs.
- The MUDs can connect to each other any way the creators want to, but the creator of a MUD can limit the ways it can be entered.
The ruleset is very limited, and the creators of the consisting MUDs are encouraged to not only create new and exiting worlds, but also new and exiting rules.
- Creators can make worlds into subdomains of other worlds, in which case they inherit all the rules of the parent world, and just override or extend the ones they want to.
